I have always had a spiritual orientation, but at 23 years old I had my first experience of kuṇḍalinī, and I had no idea what was happening to me! In my quest to understand and contextualize my experience I received an M.A. in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), and found teachers who helped my understanding and taught me various forms of meditation. In 2002 I had an intense longing to deepen my practice and soon after I found Swami Khecaranatha, a true master. My 14 years of study with him has deeply transformed my spiritual practice and life.

After a 3-year teacher training under Swami Khecaranatha's guidance, I was formally initiated in January 2017 as an acharya in the Rudrananda Pantha, participating in an all-day ceremony conducted in Ganeshpuri, India.

Professionally, I am a practitioner of movement-based expressive arts through the Tamalpa Institute, and the organizational development director of the Institute. I am a doctoral candidate in Jungian and Archetypal psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute, focusing on how experiences of kuṇḍalinī impact pyscho-spiritual transformation. I am also a dream work facilitator.

I am dedicated to the practice available through TrikaShala and it is my wish to offer that practice to others. These teachings are profound, and while they have an ancient source, they are absolutely applicable and relevant to the contemporary lives we lead.
